So proud to stand with our partners at The Link and from law enforcement agencies across Manitoba to introduce a new public awareness campaign aimed at one thing: giving young people a way out … a way to ghost gang life.
The “Ghost Gang Life” campaign uses bold visuals and a relatable tone to connect with youth aged 13 to 16 on the platforms they use, like Snapchat and TikTok. Every video ends with a simple but powerful call to action: text for help.
The Link will be providing 24/7 support through texts sent to 204-900-6010. It’s a direct line for youth who want to leave or avoid the gang lifestyle.
Importantly, this campaign was shaped with the help of reformed gang members. Their voices, their experiences, and their suggestions helped make sure the messaging is not just impactful, but real.
This campaign is really about community. It’s about kids, families, and the people walking alongside them every day.
That’s where The Link comes in. Their team offers guidance, support, and critical intervention services when a young person reaches out for help.
