True community safety is built on visibility, connection, and proactive care. That is why it is incredibly encouraging to see the Downtown Community Safety Partnership (DCSP) and Linking Hope team up for weekly Wednesday Community Walks. Starting at noon from 323 Edwin Street, these walks are a brilliant, boots on the ground approach to neighborhood wellness, combining friendly engagement and wellness checks with direct access to support services. It takes a village to build a safer, more vibrant city, and showing up for initiatives like this is exactly how we bridge the gap between local businesses, resources, and residents. Grab your walking shoes, show your support for downtown safety, and help make a tangible difference.
“DCSP and Linking Hope are inviting community members, businesses, partners and volunteers to join us for weekly Wednesday Community Walks in downtown Winnipeg!
These walks are about connection, visibility and care. Together, we’ll be out in the community offering friendly engagement, wellness checks when appropriate, and helping connect people with DCSP supports and partner services.
The first walk takes place on Wednesday, June 3 at 12 p.m., departing from Linking Hope at 323 Edwin Street.
Everyone who cares about a safer, more connected downtown is welcome to join us.
