Michael Paille Highlights Business Safety Needs During Mayor’s West End Tour

We’re proud to see Michael Paille of Cobra Collectibles, a dedicated member of the Sargent Business Community (SBC), actively engaging with Mayor Gillingham during his recent safety tour in Winnipeg’s West End!

As the Mayor walked the West End to discuss the “Safe Winnipeg Initiative,” Michael Paille played a crucial role in bringing the realities faced by local businesses to the forefront. As the owner of Cobra Collectibles, he shared his firsthand experiences with theft and vandalism, highlighting the measures he’s taken, including installing over 60 security cameras, and equipping his staff with naloxone and eyewash kits.

During the tour, Michael emphasized the need for greater collaboration to tackle crime. He stated, “I really think working together is the only way we are going to stop the problem, because individually, nothing’s really getting done.” He also presented Mayor Gillingham with a detailed report, compiling four years of local crime data and business stories, hoping to inform the city’s crime strategy.

Michael’s commitment to improving safety for businesses and the community is truly commendable. His efforts, including previously hosting a crime prevention conference, are vital to creating a safer environment for everyone in the West End.

We at SBC echo Michael’s call for continued collaboration and effective solutions to support our local businesses.
