The Sargent Business Community stands in firm solidarity with our neighbors near Polo Park following the recent act of hate and vandalism directed at a local Middle Eastern restaurant. This follows a similar, deeply troubling incident at a local synagogue earlier this week. Our neighborhood and our city are built on the strength of our diversity, and we recognize that these acts do more than damage property; they are intended to spread fear and division.
As a community of business owners and residents, we refuse to let that happen. We encourage everyone in the Sargent area and beyond to speak up against hate in all its forms, support our diverse local eateries and shops, and actively choose unity over division. There is no place for hate in Winnipeg, and we remain committed to ensuring our city is a welcoming home for every entrepreneur and neighbor.
